Discover the captivating art of fly fishing in the crystal-clear waters of the Dolomites!
This elegant and spectacular fishing technique allows you to catch various fish species using ultra-light lures—known as “flies”—that imitate small insects. Unlike other methods, the lure isn’t cast with a weight but through the smooth, flowing motion of the “fly line”: a plastic line about 27 meters long that gently lays the fly on the water’s surface.
Participants will learn the basics of this fascinating practice, a true ritual that combines precision, observation, and respect for nature. It’s not just a fishing technique but a sensory experience: every cast is a movement involving mind and body, surrounded by enchanting landscapes.
In these waters, you may encounter brown trout, rainbow trout, marble trout, and more rarely, grayling and barbel.
The philosophy of fly fishing is founded on respect: fish are always released after being caught, fully embracing the catch & release spirit.
